Oborevwori's SSA on Non Indigenes Affairs Felicitates Christians on Christmas, New Year Celebrations! ~Ifeanyi Onyejeke Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Non Indigenes Affairs, Hon. Nze Francis Onuora has extended a heartfelt goodwill message to Deltans in particular, Nigerians in general regarding the Celebration of the Birth of Jesus Christ at Christmas. Nze Onuora said, "Jesus Christ is the reason for the celebration" urging Christians to reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and imbibe such virtues while dealing with their neighbors. He noted that christians should demonstrate compassionate love and empathy to people around them to make the society a better place to leave in. Egbokodo Itsekiri Community Alleges Encroachment of Community Lands by Iffiekporo Neighbours ~ Ifeanyi Onyejeke Leaders of Egbokodo-Itsekiri in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State have raise alarm over the alleged encroachment of their community lands at Ugbomije and Ugogoegin by their Iffiekporo neighbours. In a press conference by the Olaranja of Egbokodo Itsekiri Community Chief Atiwa Amanoritsewor the Egbokodo-Itsekiri indigenes berated Iffiekporo Community for carrying out a ground breaking ceremony on the lands which have been on dispute since 1956. Delta Ethnic Peace and Unity Cup Finals: Team Ndokwa To Faces Team Itsekiri Warri: The Delta Ethnic Peace and Unity Football Tournament has climaxed to the final stage after the semifinals matches of the Peace and Unity Cup have concluded in thrilling fashion. The results are as follows: At the Ogor Technical College, Ughelli Center, Team Itsekiri (Ugbomarun FC) played a goalless draw against Team Isoko (Winsome FC) but won 4-3 on penalty shootout. At the Oleh Township Stadium Center, Team Urhobo (Udu United FC) lost 2-4 to Team Ndokwa (Ndokwa East United FC) on penalty shootout after a 2:2 regulation time draw. The stage is now set for the final match between Team Itsekiri and Team Ndokwa. Meanwhile, Team Urhobo and Team Isoko will compete for third place.
