The statement  emphatically demanded for the immediate  release of one third of the accruable  funds to Egbema off-shore Communities from chevron Nigeria limited treasury account.

The Egbema Offshore Communities demanded in strong terms that they need empowerment of fifty indigenes and stakeholders with the sum of five million naira  each for Agro business and other trade with the money in the bank and  Chevron Nigeria limited treasury or account for years within two weeks as aforementioned

The list of their demands included employment of thirty graduates as direct staff to Chevron Nigeria Limited etc, from Egbema Off Shore Communities.

The Egbema Offshore Communities stressed in their statement of demand that the request became paramount and imperative because Chevron has never employed any graduate as a direct staff from Egbema off-shore Communities since the commencement of their off shore operation for over twenty two years.

They emphasized that if  the demands are not looked into for the growth and development of Egbema Kingdom, within the stipulated time frame of the ultimatum, they have no other option but to mobilize women and   youths massively to  protest for their fundamental and humanitarian right for Justice to prevail due to the  consistent and persistent denial of their apparants of the Egbema off shore communities  and inhabitants.

Further more, the Community pointed  out  that the ultimatum is germane because we the indigenes, stakeholders and members of the Egbema Off-shore Communities cannot carry out unscrupulous acts such as vandalization of pipelines, tackle on oil facilities, bunkering, kidnapping, thuggery and piracy as a means of survival and livelihood.

The statement added that enough is enough for the inhuman treatment and illegal impediment obstructing

Egbema Off Shore Communities since 2008 till date without any developmental Project, award of Scholarship, Youths and Women empowerment amongst others, while our brothers and neighbours in Itsekiri and llaje axis have executed more than forty tangible and notable developmental projects, including scholarship awarded, empowerment and training of youth and women in their various communities which Chevron Nigeria Limited without any dispute and objection can attest to the calm.
