IZON-EBE OIL AND GAS PRODUCING COMMUNITIES ASSOCIATION, THROWS WEIGHT BEHIND AGITATIONS FOR THE CONSTITUTION OF NDDC BOARD.
Popular Ijaw pressure group, Izon-Ebe Oil and Gas Producing Communities Association, has thrown it's weight behind the recent agitations for the Constitution of a substantive Board for the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
National President of Izon-Ebe Oil and Gas Producing Communities Association, Archbishop Prophet Irawo Joseph stated this in an interview with Newsmen in Warri, Delta State.
Archbishop Prophet Irawo Joseph commended former leader of Niger Delta Agitators, High Chief Government Ekpomupolo popularly called Tompolo for his agitation for the Constitution of the Board of the NDDC, noting that the foremost Ijaw pressure group, Izon-Ebe Oil and Gas Producing Communities Association is solidly behind him.
He noted that, the delay by the Federal Government to constitute the board has slowed down the rate of development in the Niger Delta Region.
Archbishop Prophet Irawo Joseph who lamented the shoddy jobs and the high rate of abandoned projects by the Interim Management Committee and Sole Administrator of NDDC in the region, called for the immediate constitution of a board that will reflect the wishes and aspirations of oil bearing Communities in the region.
He urged the Federal Government to always consult the leadership of Izon-Ebe Oil and Gas Producing Communities Association before taking any major decision concerning the Niger Delta Region noting that the Ijaws are major stakeholders in the region.
The clergyman, used the opportunity to commiserate with the family of popular Televangelist and Senior Pastor of Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, Pastor T.B. Joshua over his demise.
Archbishop Prophet Irawo Joseph said Pastor T.B. Joshua's humility and benevolence while alive was worthy of emulating, noting that he left a vacuum that will be hard to fill.
He prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss and urged all to follow his legacy of humility and benevolence.
