BARRISTER KINGSLEY OTUARO SAYS THE DEMISE OF EVANGELIST S Y MAMAMU IS A GREAT LOSS

The State Deputy Governor,Deacon Kingsley Otuaro says the death of renowned Ijaw leader, Chief S.Y Mamamu was a great loss to the Ijaw nation, Niger Delta and the country at large.
Deacon Otuaro stated this during a condolence visit to the Mamamu family in Warri.
Deacon Otuaro said the news of the death of Chief S.Y Mamamu came to him as a rude shock.
He described late Evangelist S Y Mamamu as a good man whose legacies would remain indelible.
Describing late Evangelist S Y Mamamu as a vocal voice for the development of the Niger Delta, the State Deputy Governor noted that Chief S.Y Mamamu lived a life of service to God, his family and humanity.
He prayed God to grant his family and those he left behind the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
Responding the Chairman of the People's Democratic Party PDP in Warri South West local government area, Chief Favour Izuokumor said late Chief S.Y Mamamu was a father to all and renowned traditional Chief in Ogbe-Ijoh Warri kingdom.
Chief Izuokumor who is also the Fiyewei of Ogbe Ijoh Warri Kingdom said the kingdom would miss his wise counsel describing him as a man of integrity who stood for the truth no matter whose ox was gored.
The eldest son of the deceased, Mr Faith Mamamu said his father passed on recently at ninety one years.
Thanking the Deputy Governor for the visit ,he announced that a date would soon be fixed for the burial activities.
The Deputy Governor later signed the condolence register opened for sympathisers.
