MAMA GRACE OVUKWORHO OSIETA AKA MADAM YELLOW GOES HOME IN GRANDSTYLE
The remains of Mama Grace Ovukworho Osieta a.k.a Madam Yellow has been laid to rest at her hometown Usiefrun, Ughelli South LGA, amidst ocean of tributes.
The sparkling casket conveying her remains was brought into her home town in a grandstyle with great dancing and acrobatic display by the undertakers, signifying to all that a great person is about to be laid to rest.
After the funeral service held in honour of Mama Grace Ovukworho Osieta a.k.a Madam Yellow, a reception held was held for guests.who thronged Usiefrun to witness the her burial ceremony glamorised by her children.
The carnival like funeral ceremony of Mama Grace Ovukworho Osieta a.k.a Madam Yellow expectedly attracted dignitaries from all walks of life, as a result of her personality and that of her children.
In a eulogy, eldest son of Mama Grace Ovukworho Osieta a.k.a Madam Yellow , Chief (Dr) David Patrick Onajophe Jnr a Justice of Peace, described his mother as an epitome of kindness and humility, noting that inspite of her many successes in life, she kept her head low and remained committed to the service of God and humanity.
He noted that his mother was a successful businesswoman who through diligence and hardwork rose from being a petty trader to a contractor in Shell and other companies and also helped in the growth of the popular Igbudu Market Warri, in Warri South LGA.
Chief (Dr) David Patrick Onajophe Jnr added that his mother was a good cook who translated her expertise in cooking into a business enterprise by establishing a catering business that made wave all over the state.
He said his mother was a devout Christian who brought all her children up in the ways of God and took pains to ensure they acquire western Education.
For her part, Chief (Mrs) Faith Onajophe, wife of Chief (Dr) David Patrick Onajophe Jnr, described her mother inlaw as a loving and caring mother who took her as a daughter.
She noted that Mama will be greatly missed for her benevolence and invaluable words of
advice.
Other children of Mama Grace Ovukworho Osieta also eulogized her good virtues.
Mama Grace Ovukworho Osieta aka Madam Yellow passed on at the age of 74 and was survived by 5 children, inlaws, grandchildren and many relatives.
