AGBARHO VIGILANTE NABS YOUTH WITH GUNS, MATCHET, HANDS SUSPECT TO POLICE

Agbarho vigilante has arrested some young men with a cut to size locally made gun, live cartridges, matchet and other dangerous weapons in the community.



According to the leader of the local security team in Agbarho Community, Mr Onome Ogugu said they received a distress call from a resident that a group of boys were gathering to launch an attack on one Mr Solomon Akpomediaye whom it was alleged fought with their friend simply identified as High Spirit owing him #5,000.


Mr Ogugu said following a directive from the President General of Agbarho Urhobo Improvement Union, Chief Monday Igho Odiphri the Vigilante Mobilised to the area.


He disclosed that on getting there, the Vigilante saw the group of boys boarding motorbikes for the alleged attack and were intercepted.


Mr Ogugu noted that, on searching the suspects, guns, live cartridges, matchet and other dangerous weapons were found on them.


He noted that young men were immediately demobilised and handed over to the Police and the case transfered to Police Headquarters Asaba for further investigation.


Mr Ogugu called on criminal elements hiding in Agbarho to relocate as the they will be fished out and handed over to the Police.


When Bladenews spoke with Mr Solomon Akpomediaye, he disclosed that, High Spirit was his debtor owing him #5,000 but fought with him for demanding for his money.

He added that, High Spirit threatened to deal with him and since then, he has been receiving phone calls threatening him.
