An Urhobo Traditional High Chief based in Canada, Olorogun Obukohwo Oduaran, the Convener of Obukowho Oduaran Political Advancement Group, has thrown his full weight behind the governorship ambition of Olorogun David Edevbie of the People's Democratic Party, PDP.



The Canada-based Deltan declared his full support for Olorogun Edevbie on Monday 17th January, 2023, while speaking with the Delta Central Coordinator of Olorogun David Edevbie Campaign Organization ODECO, Okakuro GodwIn Ejinyere at his Country home in Orerokpe, headquarters of Okpe LGA of Delta State.


Olorogun Oduaran who hails from Ughelli said his support for Olorogun Edevbie is devoid of personal gains and ethnic consideration but based purely on Olorogun Edevbie's track records and qualifications as the most professional and globally exposed, as well as the most experienced and de-tribalised aspirant for the 2023 Delta State gubernatorial election.


He said his political movement formed in 2011 is aimed at serving the people of Delta State and his immediate constituency through political offices, adding that since then, he has a political machinery that spreads across Delta State, with a strong base in Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency.


He said his political group decided to align with the Olorogun David Edevbie Campaign Organisation towards achieving the dream of modernizing Delta State. Olorogun Oduaran said further that his support for Olorogun Edevbie stems from the fact that they both have the same vision to transform Delta State into a commercial hub of Nigeria through creating a friendly environment for commercial activities to thrive.


Olorogun Obukohwo Prosper Oduaran, the Urhioboghene R’Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom said his political network all over the world has been mobilized to work with Olorogun David Edevbie Campaign Organization towards giving the three-time Finance Commissioner and Harvard University trained Economist, sound victories at the PDP primaries and at the 2023 governorship election. 


In addition, Olorogun Oduaran donated his personal building premises to be used as Olorogun David Edevbie's Campaign Office in Ughelli, as his own contribution. He urged Deltans to respect the PDP zonal arrangement for rotating Delta State governorship seat and support Olorogun David Edevbie of Delta Central Senatorial District to become the Governor of Delta State in 2023.


Responding to the show of solidarity, Okakuro GodwIn Ejinyere thanked Olorogun Oduaran for recognizing and strongly supporting Olorogun Edevbie, especially for donating an office space for Olorogun Edevbie's political campaign.


Prince GodwIn Ejinyere, the Duke of Orerokpe District, promised to brief the Director General, DG, of ODECO, Chief Clement Ofuani, and also inform Olorogun David Edevbie about the development. 


Olorogun Obukohwo Prosper Oduaran was accompanied on the visit by a Ward executive from Ughelli LGA, and an LGA Coordinator from Ughelli South. ODECO's Director of Media, Dr. GodwIn Orhadahwe was present during the visit which climaxed with a group photograph.
