DELTA GROUP PROGRESSIVE POLITICAL LEAGUE PPL ENDORSES EDEVBIE FOR GOVERNOR 2023, PLEDGES UNALLOYED SUPPORT FOR HIM

As the governorship race for the Delta 2023 gains more momentum, a political pressure group in the People's Democratic Party PDP known as Progressive Political League PPL for Edevbie at the weekend pledged its unalloyed support for the governorship aspiration of Olorogun David Edevbie to be the next governor of Delta State come 2023.

The Progressive Political League PPL for Edevbie led by its State Coordinator Mr Louis Obiesi alongside other leaders of the group made the pledged at a meeting in Ekete Waterside in Udu local government area of Delta State.


Addressing the members who are drawn from across the three Senatorial Districts of the state, the State Coordinator of the group Mr Louis Obiesi said that the group which is grassroots based was formed to support a credible PDP Aspirant who has all its takes to pilot the Affairs of Delta State come 2023.


Mr Louis Obiesi added that after a careful studied on the various PDP governorship aspirants Olorogun David Edevbie stood out as one who has all it takes to modernize the state, having been in the system of government, hence they decided to endorsed and support him.


The Progressive Political League PPL for Edevbie State Coordinator who emphasized that members of the group have resolved to give in their all to the Olorogun David Edevbie governorship aspiration,  said that they are not supporting their Principal because of financial benefits but because they have seen in him a man that can govern the state on the paths of all round sustainable growths and developments.


Mr Louis Obiesi who implored all delegates of the PDP to deliver Olorogun David Edevbie in the day of the party's primaries, equally called on all Deltans who are within the voting age and above but are yet to register in the on going INEC continuous registration to do so.


He however called on like minds who are interested to join them to do so through the Progressive Political League Facebook page as well as attend meetings when necessary.


For his part, the State Adviser of the Group Chief Anthony Ukpu stressed that Olorogun David Edevbie is a Deltan with successful sound track records in business and politics.


Chief Ukpu charged all members of the Progressive Political League PPL for Edevbie to spread the message of Olorogun David Edevbie to the nook and cranny of the state.


The Public Relations Officer PRO of the group Barrister Priscilia Whanehor in an interview described the meeting as a fruitful one and expressed optimism that Olorogun David Edevbie will be the next governor of the state God helping.



The political parley which came to a closed with the formal inauguration of the state executive structure of the Progressive Political League PPL for Edevbie also featured suggestions from members on how to achieve the aims and objectives of the group as well as deliberate on how to support the purchase of PDP party nomination form for Olorogun David Edevbie.
