DELTA IJAW TRADITIONAL RULERS FORUM WOO DELTA NORTH TRADITIONAL RULERS FORUM FOR SUPPORT FOR IJAW GOV
The quest for an Ijaw Governor in place of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa come 2023, took a royal dimension with the Delta IJA Traditional Rulers Forum visiting to solicit the support of their counterparts from Delta North senatorial district.
The Paramount Ruler of Ogulagha Kingdom, Elder Captain Joseph Timiyan led the Delta Ijaw Traditional Rulers Forum to the palace of the Obi of Owa , Emmanuel Efeizomor The Second at Owa, Ika North East with a cross section of royal fathers from Delta North in attendance.
On the royal trip to Delta North were prominent IJAW traditional rulers including the newly appointed first vice chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council Pere Luke Kalanama the Eight the Pere of Akugbene Mein Kingdom, Pere Charles Ayemibotu , Pere of Sembiri kingdom and a host of others.
Stating their case the Paramount Ruler of Oghulagha kingdom said the agitation for an IJAW born governor for Delta State come 2023 was a just cause for more development in the state.
The Ebenanawaie of Oghulagha kingdom Elder Captain Joseph Timiyan who is the Chairman of the Delta Ijaw Traditional Rulers Forum told the Delta North Traditional Rulers Forum that the Ijaws deserved to be voted in as governor of the state this time around having supported the Uruhobo , itsekiri and the aniomas to occupy the governorship seat.
The Oghulagha monarch said the success stories of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has the indelible touch of Deacon Kingsley Otuaro , his Deputy , emphasizing that the Ijaws have all it takes to sustain the good legacies of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
Speaking in a similar vein, the Pere of Akugbene Mein Kingdom, Pere Luke Kalanama The Eight who described the Ijaws as a detribalized people needs the supports of all tribes in the state to claim the governorship seat after the tenure of Dr Ifeanyi Okow
In his response ,the Obi of Owa Kingdom , Efeizomor the Second thanked the Delta Ijaw Traditional Rulers Forum for the royal visit and the case made in the quest for an IJAW governor come 2023.
Efeizomor the second who is the immediate past chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, observed that Royal Fathers ought to be their brothers keepers and assured that their message was well noted.
