FUND RAISING FOR THE 10TH CORONATION ANNIVERSARY OF HIS ROYAL MAJESTY AVM LUCKY OCHUKO ARARILE RTD AVWAEKE 1 OVIE OF UMIAGHWA-ABRAKA KINGDOM AND FESTIVAL

As the people of Umiaghwa-Abraka Kingdom in Ethiope East local government area in Delta State plans for the tenth coronation anniversary of their monarch His Royal Majesty AVM Lucky Ochuko Ararile and the kingdom festival, sons and daughters of the kingdom at the weekend converged to raised fund for the success of the coronation and anniversary.
Speaking on the forth coming 10th coronation anniversary and festival of the Umiaghwa-Abraka Kingdom, the Ovie of the kingdom said that there will be lots of activities to mark the week long event that will start from Wednesday 13th April 2022 to Sunday the 17th of April 2022.
His Royal Majesty AVM Lucky Ochuko Ararile, Avwaeke the first disclosed that in this event the rich cultural heritage of the people will be revived by bringing back the Ekenike and Emedjo dances.
Others include cooking competition among the four ruling houses and also the possibility of inviting other tribes Isokos, Itsekiris for the cooking competition.
For his part, the chairman of the ceremony, Chief Moses Taiga the President General of Urhobo Progress Union UPU Worldwide who was represented by his First Deputy, Chief Capt Dr Anthony Onogharigho enjoined other kingdoms to emulate the cultural preservation zeal of the Umiaghwa-Abraka people in promoting their culture and was full of praises for the king and his people and prayed God to guide and bless him.
In his response, the chairman central working committee of the 10th coronation anniversary, Chief Sunday Onoriode extolled the virtues of His Majesty for piloting the affairs of the kingdom.
He thanked the chiefs and other dignitaries present.
Chief Onoriode who outlined the program of events of the festival and 10th coronation anniversary, said the events start on Wednesday 13th April with an interdenominational service at the town hall thereafter same at the town hall, a Conference of discussion all be held to deliberate on how Umiaghwa-Abraka kingdom can move to the next level.
Thursday 14th April will be the festival day and according to Chief Onoriode, it's customary mandatory for every family to cook the traditional Owho soup for entertainment
On the 15th of April will be the confirment of chieftaincy titles on deserving sons and daughters of the kingdom.
On the 16th according to the chairman is the 10th coronation anniversary proper where the four ruling families of the kingdom, Owhodo, Oviedo, Owrhuabo and Eseme/Urhuagbesa will pay homage to the king, cultural dances from all the ruling houses, Ekenike and Emedjo dances and other cultural activities showcasing the rich culture of Umiaghwa-Abraka people which also include cooking competition.
The students of Conarina Maritime Academy Oria-Abraka, a Maritime institution own by Chief Capt Dr Anthony Onogharigho, the First Deputy President General Urhobo Progress Union, Worldwide and chairman of the finance committee of Umiaghwa Day, will be having a parade of Guard of Honor for His Royal Majesty AVM Lucky Ochuko Ararile RTD Avwaeke1 Ovie of Umiaghwa-Abraka kingdom.
On Sunday 17th April, 2022, will be Thanksgiving day.
Chief Sunday Onoriode enjoined all sons and daughters of Umiaghwa-Abraka kingdom both in home and diaspora to key in and participate in all activities to showcase the rich culture of Umiaghwa-Abraka kingdom.
The occasion was well attended by Chiefs notable sons and daughters of the kingdom and their friends.
