ROTARY CLUB OF EFFURUN G.R.A SUES FOR MORE PARTNERSHIP WITH MEDIA


Rotary Club of Effurun GRA, has called for more partnership from Media Practitioners for effective and elaborate coverage of her activities.


This was disclosed by the President of Rotary Club of Effurun GRA, Rotarian Kenneth Iyere Ideyenhin during the Club's Public Image Event put together for Members, PICs, Prints and Electronic Media Practitioners.


Rotarian Kenneth Iyere Ideyenhin urged media practitioners to give free and elaborate coverage to all activities of the Club noting that it is a non profit organization that renders selfless service to the society.


He disclosed that Rotary Club of Effurun GRA will soon present chairs and desks to Hussey College Warri, commission six Mono Pumps at Kolokolo community, among others noting that these gestures deserve to be publicized to encourage others to emulate the club.


In a lecture titled "Telling Our Rotary Stories Effectively" the PHF, Club Image Chair of Rotary Club of Effurun GRA, Rotarian Edoja Martina Sowho said Rotary Club is a global network of 1.4million persons who volunteer to contribute their time and resources to help the less privileged in the society.


Rotarian Edoja Martina Sowho said the role of the Public Image Chair/Committee was to create and implement a plan to tell Rotary Stories, promote Club Projects/activities, make sure club communications follow Rotary guidelines and relate with the media.



She listed some of the effective tools for telling Rotary Stories to include Brand Centre and Learning, Pictures, Narrative, Social Media, Rotary Memobilia and Mass media.


Rotarian Edoja Martina Sowho who thanked the media in Warri and Effurun especially Delta Broadcasting Service Warri for their support, called for greater partnership in the next Rotary year.



Miss Christabel Iyere a member of Interact Club and daughter of the President of Rotary Club of Effurun GRA Rotarian Kenneth Iyere Ideyenhin marked her birthday during the event while Rotarian Edoja Martina Sowho was presented a gift for her outstanding contributions to the advancement of the club.
