OKOBARO CONGRATULATES PROF G.G DARAH, CALLS HIM URHOBO ICON
His Majesty Odjaberen, (Dr.) Matthew Ediri Egbi JP, FoD, AMNSE, RDN, Owahwa II, The Okobaro of Ughievwen (Jeremi) has congratulated an illustrious son of Ughievwen Kingdom and literal giant, Prof Godini Gabriel Darah on his conferment with an Honorary Doctorate Degree by the Michael and Cecilia Ibru University, Agbarhar-Otor in recognition of his exceptional contribution to advancement of knowledge, at home and abroad.
The Okobaro also congratulated Prof Darah on his recent induction as a fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Letters (NALS).
The revered monarch in his Congratulatory Message described Prof Darah as an Urhobo icon who has brought pride to the Urhobo nation through his chosen career noting that his contributions to the advancement of education, literal studies and journalism in the country and sub Sahara Africa cannot be quantified.
He added that, Prof Darah's fight for a better Nigeria, improved welfare for the Niger Delta people and against environmental degradation as well as for the Urhobos to take it's pride of place in the country, have made him stand out among his equals.
The Ughievwen monarch stressed that the contributions of Prof Darah to the peace, growth, and development to Ughievwen Kingdom is enormous.

The monarch prayed God to grant Prof Darah good health, long life and knowledge to contribute more to the educational and political advancement in the country and beyond.
