OKOBARO OF UGHIEVWEN CONFERS THE TITLES OF  ADANOVWE AND ADONOVWEREYA ON ENGINEER EDIRIN  JAMES ABAMWA AND WIFE CHIEF JOY

The Okobaro of Ughievwen, Owahwa the second has  conferred chieftaincy titles on some illustrious sons and daughters of Ughievwen Kingdom, who have distinguished themselves in various fields of endeavours.


Owahwa the second bestowed the titles of Adanovwe and Adonovwereya respectively on Engineer Edirin James Abamwa and Mrs Joy Abamwa at his palace in Otu-Jeremi, Ughelli South Local Government Area..



The Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom, Owahwa the second said chieftaincy titles in Ughievwen kingdom are sacred and given only to notable sons and daughters of the Kingdom who have made their marks in different spheres of life.


Owahwa the second advised Chiefs of the Kingdom to always be cautious of their conduct and be good ambassadors of the Kingdom, noting that chieftaincy titles are given for Chiefs to demonstrate good service.



The monarch called on beneficiaries of chieftaincy titles in Ughievwen Kingdom to use their positions to promote peace, unity and progress in the kingdom.


He commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his development efforts in the state especially in Ughievwen Kingdom.


Chief Edirin James Abamwa and Chief Joy Abamwa thanked the monarch for the recognition and assured him that it will spur them to do more for the kingdom.


Manager, Government,  Community & Security, OML 34 AMT,  Mr. Sheidu Aiguedo and Community Interface Coordinator, OML 34 AMT, Mr. Dele Aisekhlaye were present during the ceremony.


A reception was later held for guests at their residence.
