PASTOR OGORO ROOTS SUPPORT FOR ATIKU-OKOWA TICKET.


A Delta based Clergyman, Pastor Sunday Ogoro has called on Nigerians to support a Presidential Candidate from Northern extraction in the 2023 General Election for fairness, justice and equity.


Pastor Ogoro who spoke in a Press Briefing on Tuesday, said God Almighty is  a God of Justice, equity and fairness and as such, His creatures should also imbibe these virtues.


Pastor Ogoro stated that, it is wrong for the South to claim that it is their turn to become President in the 2023, noting that since the inception of the present Democratic Rule in 1999, Southerners have ruled the country more than Northerners.


He explained that, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo ruled the country for 8 years while Dr Goodluck Jonathan ruled for 6 years, who are both from the South, ruled the country for 14 year.


The clergyman added that, the Northerners have only ruled for ten years, which were the two years ruled by Late Alhaji Umaru Yar'Adua and President Muhammadu Buhari has ruled for seven years and we believe will complete his tenure of eight years by the grace of God, which will make the term of the North to be ten years.


He stressed that, it is only fair for the North to rule for one more term to make theirs fourteen years like their southern counterpart before power shifts to the South.


Pastor Ogoro then, urged Nigerians to vote for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in 2023 and urged all other Southern candidates to step down for fairness, justice and equity.


On the face off between Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Pastor Ogoro said he has high respect for Governor Wike and urged him to look at the issues holistically, sheathe his sword and pledged his support for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.


 He expressed hope that the Atiku-Okowa ticket will rescue Nigeria and as such the South-South should shun regional Politics and vote for capability.
