FLOOD: OKOBARO APPEALS FOR SUPPORT.

His Majesty Odjaberen, (Dr.) Matthew Ediri Egbi JP, FoD, AMNSE, RDN, Owahwa II, The Okobaro of Ughievwen (Jeremi) has appealed for assistance from governments at all levels, Government Agencies, Humanitarian and Religious Organizations as well as public spirited individuals to come to the aid of his subjects affected by the flood 

The revered monarch disclosed to Newsmen that Ughievwen Kingdom is worst hit in the state as almost all the communities the Kingdom have been affected by the ravaging flood, including his Palace.


He noted that, houses, schools and other public utilities have been submerged and farmlands, fish ponds and other businesses were also destroyed.

His Majesty Odjaberen, (Dr.) Matthew Ediri Egbi JP, FoD, AMNSE, RDN, Owahwa II, The Okobaro of Ughievwen (Jeremi) said, that the flood has rendered his subjects homeless without a source of livelihood.


He stated that, those affected are presently taking refuge in IDP Camps while others are still trapped in their communities.


The  Okobaro appealed to the Federal, State and Local  Governments to come to their aid by sending relief materials to victims of the flood, so as to cushion the effect of the disaster on them.


He also appealed to multinationals, religious, non governmental and government agencies as well as public spirited individuals to come to their aid.
