SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF UMIAGHWA-ABRAKA KINGDOM CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS CAROL AND NINE LESSONS

The Palace of HRM (AVM) Lucky Ochuko Ararile (rtd ) Avwaeke1 the Ovie of Umiaghwa-Abraka Kingdom was agog during the celebration of the 2022 Christmas Carol and Nine lessons. 

It was all show of love by all who graced the occasion.

The Ovie of Umiaghwa-Abraka Kingdom, Avwaeke 1 took the first Lesson from the book of Isaiah chapter 11vs1-5 while the second Lesson was taken by the Queen, HRM (Mrs) Ihuoma Ararile from the book of Micah chapter 5vs2-6.

There were several Choir presentations by James Anglican Church Oria, Christ Gospel Church, Ufuoma Baptist Church Oria, FBC Choir and Alheri (Grace) BC Hausa choir.


The Christmas Carol and Nine lessons was graced by several dignitaries, friends, sons and daughters of Umiaghwa-Abraka kingdom which included, The Oniemo of Abraka kingdom, HRM Queen (Lady) Elizabeth Ejowhomu, wife of the Late Adakaji 1 Ovie of Abraka kingdom, Chief Sunday Onoriode, Hon. Commissioner for Primary Education Delta , who read the Eighth Lesson.




Others were Prof Andy Egwunyenga,  Vice Chancellor Delta State University Abraka, who was ably represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics, Prof Ochuko Ahomogharan who read the seventh Lesson.




Mr Mathew Enamuotor, the MD/CEO Gordon's Resort, was also among the dignitaries.

In his exhortation, Ven Akpoguma of the Anglican Communion based his sermon on Mat. 1vs21 described Christmas as a period of showing love, forgiveness and being at peace with everyone, and being closer to God.

In his message, HRM (AVM) Lucky Ochuko Ararile (rtd) Avwaeke1 Ovie of Umiaghwa-Abraka kingdom accompanied by his wife the Queen and Princesses (Ufuoma, Eseoghene and Omonigho) with his Chiefs urged his people to show love to one another that apart for the reason for the season, it's also proper to love one another.


His Royal Majesty also admonished everyone to be safety conscious in this period and should be mindful of their movements, especially at  night.

Orosue was very happy with the turnout and thanked everyone for their contribution to the ceremony, and wished them a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
