PRINCE OBIE DONATES RELIEF MATERIALS TO FLOOD VICTIMS IN EZEBIRI, OGODOBIRI COMMUNITIES

Succour came the way of flood victims in Ogodobiri and Ezebri Communities in Bomadi LGA, as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Prince Godwin Obie donates food items worth millions of naira to them to cushion the effect of the devastating flood on them.


Presenting the items, Prince Obie said he was saddened by the level of devastation caused by the ravaging flood in his Communities, Ogodobiri and Ezebri.



He noted that the flood destroyed their farmlands, fish ponds, houses were submerged and property worth millions of naira were all destroyed.


Prince Obie, said touched by the plight of his people, he decided to donate the food items to the victims, so as to cushion the effect of the hardship caused them by the flood.


Senior Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on Security,  said the gestures was devoid of political affiliation but to all who affected by the flood and by natural calamities in the state.


He charged leaders of the two benefiting communities to ensure adequate distribution of the food items and promised to continue to assist them.

 

Prince Obie called on residents of both communities to ensure that they get their Permanent Voter Cards, PVC, to enable them vote for all People's Democratic Party, PDP, candidates in the general elections.


He noted that, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa took several proactive steps to mitigate the effect of the flood on those affected in the state and urged the people to sustain their support for him.


Chairman of Ogodobiri Community Comrade Chaplin Fungeowei and Secretary General Ezebri Community both in Bomadi Local Government Area  appreciated  Prince Godwin Obie for the  gesture and promised to distribute equally among the two Communities.


They noted that Prince Godwin Obie has always been supportive to the communities noting that in the past, he has given cash, chicken, Clothes and other items to them and urged other government appointees to emulate him.

Items donated by Prince Godwin Obie includes bags of rice among others.
