OKOBARO OF UGHIEVWEN KINGDOM CONFERS CHIEFTAINCY TITLES ON PROMINENT SONS AND DAUGHTER OF THE KINGDOM
The Palace of the Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom was a beehive of social and cultural activities as three prominent sons and daughter of the kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area were conferred with various traditional titles in recognition of their immense contributions to the development of their communities and the Kingdom in general
Conferring the titles on the deserving sons and daughters of Ughievwen kingdom as Oloroguns, the Okobaro of Ughievwen kingdom, Owhawha the second reminded them of the responsibilities associated with their status urging them to carry the titles with pride and dignity.
The Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom told them that as new Oloroguns they are expected to become role models to the younger generation and not use the titles to oppress"the poor in the society and charged them to see the titles bestowed on them as an opportunity to redouble their contributions to the development of the kingdom and also become instrument for promoting peace and unity in their respective communities.
The traditional ruler equally admonished them to be mindful of the characters they display in the public in order not to bring disrespect to the kingdom.
Speaking after the conferment, some of the Chiefs including Olorogun Paulette Shakabo and Olorogun Charles Obukowho commended the Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom for finding them worthy of the titles and promised to remain good ambassadors of the kingdom.
Earlier the rector of Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, Professor Emmanuel Biri led top management of the institution on a courtesy visit to the Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom.
