UPU AMERICA CONGRATULATES DR OKORO ON APPOINTMENT AS RECTOR FED POLY OROGUN

Urhobo Progress Union America has congratulated Dr Duke Okoro on his appointment as Pioneer Rector Federal Polytechnic Orogun, Ughelli North LGA of Delta State by President Muhammadu Buhari.




A Congratulatory Message signed by the President of UPU America, Olorogun (Dr) Prince Abel Dafioghor and Director of Publicity, Olorogun Rume Oputu says the appointment of Dr Duke Okoro is well deserved as he is an experienced educationist and trained in Nigeria and abroad.


It recalled with nostalgia the achievements of Dr Duke Okoro when he was the President of UPU Calgary, Canada and his giant strides in the educational sector in Nigeria especially at Delta State University Abraka and Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun, FUPRE.


It noted that, Dr Duke Okoro's principle of hard work, discipline, humility and integrity have made him stand out in his chosen career and expressed confidence that he will bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new assignment.


It prayed God to grant him more wisdom and knowledge to pilot the affairs of the institution and take it to greater height.


UPU America called on members of the Governing Council of the Institution to give Dr Duke Okoro all the needed support to enable him succeed.


It thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for the appointment and for citing the institution in Urhoboland.


It equally thanked Senator Ovie Omo-Agege for attracting the Institution to Urhoboland and urged all Urhobo Indigenes occupying position of authority to use such positions to attract development to Urhoboland and help their people.


UPU America promised to contribute it's quota to enable Dr Duke Okoro succeed, describing him as one of their own, who has contributed towards the development of Urhoboland.
