AUIU CALLS FOR CALM OVER MURDER OF APC CHIEFTAIN IN AGBARHO

Agbarho Kingdom has been thrown into mourning following the gruesome murder of a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Sylvester Efeurhobo at his Agbarho residence.


It was gathered that the APC faithful was shot at by his assailants on Sunday night.


Delta State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Edafe Bright, who confirmed the killing, said the matter is under investigation.


Meanwhile,  President General of Agbarho Urhobo Improvement Union, AUIU, Chief Kevwe Edoja has called on law enforcement agents to swing into action and fish out the culprits of the dastard act.


Chief Edoja urged residents of Agbarho kingdom to remain calm and go about their lawful business as the law enforcement agents are on top of the matter and has beefed up security in the area.


The President General of AUIU sympathise with the immediate family of the decease and APC family in the state and prayed God to grant the soul of the decease eternal rest.



 National Publicity Secretary of AUIU, Chief Felix Ofurhie appealed to the youths in the Kingdom not to take laws into their hands but allow the Police to the it's job.


He urged all not to read political reasons to the assassination as Agbarho people have always lived together inspite political or religious affiliations.
