Hon Tebite Assures Oil Bearing Communities Of More Development, As DESOPQDEC Board Holds Inaugural Meeting
The Executive Director of Projects, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Honourable Taleb Tebite, has assured indigenes of oil producing communities that the new Board of DESOPADEC led by Chief John Nani will deliver more development projects and empowerment programmes to them in line with the agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Hon Tebite, who gave the assurance shortly after the inaugural meeting of the Board of DESOPADEC, noted that the Board will consolidate on the achievements of its predecessor and do more, as it is made up of experienced persons with proven records of integrity and commitment to service.
The former lawmaker thanked the immediate past Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa whom he described as a father and politcal czar of our time, and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the confidence repose in them and promised not to disappoint them.
He assured indigenes of oil bearing communities that there are better days ahead, noting that Governor Oborevwori is a grassroots politician that is committed to the development of the state.
Chief Tebite urged them to remain peaceful, protect oil facilities in their areas and channel their grievances through the appropriate channels, noting that no meaningful development can take place in an atmosphere of rancour.
