OKOBARO JOIN CALLS FOR TINUBU TO EXPAND OIL PIPELINE SURVEILLANCE FOR TANTITA SECURITY
HRM Dr. Matthew Ediri Egbi JP, FoD, AMNSE, Owahwa II, The Okobaro of Ughievwen (Jeremi) kingdom, has joined forces with others particularly Traditional Ruler in Delta State to call on President Ahmed Tinubu to expand the areas covered by Oil Pipeline Surveillance Company, Tantita Security Service.
In a statement, HRM Dr. Matthew Ediri Egbi JP, FoD, AMNSE, Owahwa II, The Okobaro of Ughievwen (Jeremi) kingdom said Tantita Security Service owned by Delta State born High Chief Government Ekpomukpolo popularly called Tompolo, has bursted several oil cartels operating in the High Sea of the State.
The revered monarch added that, officials of Tantita Security Service has in the last few months made several arrests of oil thieves saving the nation billions of dollars hitherto carted away by these thieves.
He noted that the call to expand their area of surveillance became necessary, as most crude oil thieves and bunkerers have now shifted their illegal business to other states not covered by Tantita Security Service.
HRM Dr. Matthew Ediri Egbi JP, FoD, AMNSE, Owahwa II, The Okobaro of Ughievwen (Jeremi) kingdom explained that recent arrest of a ship with 150,000 tonnes of crude oil at Ondo State by officials of Tantita Security Service is an example.
He called on President Ahmed Tinubu to as a matter of urgency extend the areas covered by Tantita Security Service, so as to ensure one hundred percent safety of the nation's oil pipelines.
