OLU OF WARRI CONFERS THE OLU SANJUWA ALIAS OKPEYOR ON SIR ELIJAH TEMILE

In recognition of his immense contribution to societal growth and development, Sir Elijah Temile , the eldest son of the late Chief E. A Temile dynasty, has been  conferred with the title of Olu-Sanjuwa alias Okpeyor of Warri Kingdom by the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse the third at his palace Tuesday in Warri.


Our Correspondent reports that Chief Elijah Temile expressed appreciation to God and his monarch for the chieftaincy title, adding that the honour will spur him to do more for humanity, and the Warri kingdom.


Speaking after being conferred the chieftaincy title of Olu-Sanjuwa alias Okpeyor of Warri Kingdom by the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse the third, Chief Elijah Temile said being honoured as Chief, just like his father in his days in the ancient Warri Kingdom is a delight and rear privilege for him.


Chief Temile said that as the Olu-Sanjuwa alias Okpeyor of the kingdom which means the repairer of the kingdom, he is going to continue to use his vast connection and wealth to advance his community and the  Iwere land at large.


When asked if he will be able to fit into the shoes  of his father late Chief E.A Temile, the patriarch of the Temile's dynasty, Chief Elijah Temile explained that the shoes of his father were so big but prayed for God's to sustain and guide him in the task ahead.


He also prayed God to continue to preserve the life of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse the third and give him divine wisdom like King Solomon always as he reigns over his subjects on the exalted throne of His forefathers.


At an elaborate reception held at his Warri residence, where invited guests were entertained  with local and  continental dishes and a live band was present thrilling guests to beautiful music.


Some persons  who spoke to DRTV News, including one of his in-laws Mr Stanley Edaah, congratulated Chief Elijah Temile for the title bestowed upon him by Ogiame Atuwatse the third. 


They noted that Chief Elijah Temile deserves the chieftaincy title going by his philanthropic works to people of Warri kingdom and others who come His way. 


The Ceremony was attended by Chiefs, community leaders, prominent personalities amongst others.
