DELTA EMPOWERED WOMEN ASSOCIATION KICK START EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME


A Non governmental organisation,Delta  Empowered Women Association has promised to support, develop and provide initiative for Girl-Child Women,Elderly and Vulnerable people.

Founder of the Association,Honourable  Ijeoma Ayebi made this known during their launching ceremony held on Sunday at Osubi,Okpe Local Government Area.



Speaking during the launching ceremony of   Delta  Empowered Women Association, Founder of the Association,Honourable  Ijeoma Ayebi noted that the group is a non profit organization that  support, develop and provide initiative for girl child and women with aim to empower them on livelihood & sustainability where-ever they find themselves

Honourable Ayebi added that the collective efforts of member to support the girl child was drawn from the temptations and disadvantage the society has placed on female child hence making them involved in prostitution and other social vices.

She reiterated the committed of the organization to always speak up for the Women,Elderly, Girl-Child and Vulnerable people whereby create an empowerment plans that would focus around- social integration, becoming technology savvy, economic independent , political incline to take leadership position. 



In her welcome address, Public relations officer of the organization, Naomi agedo said they have already commences empowerment for the Women,Elderly, Girl-Child and Vulnerable people while calling for support from Government agency and well to do individuals.

Special assistant to the Governor on Women Mobilisation, Mrs Ugbomma Apolonia,Delta State PDP Secretary represented by Engineer efe Oreko and Mr Samuel Eze commended the Delta  Empowered Women Association for the gestures and promises to support them.



Highpoint of the event was donations by different guest towards the cause of the Delta  Empowered Women Association.
