UPU AMERICA CONGRATULATES GOV OBOREVWORI ON SUPREME COURT VICTORY



Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, America has Congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for surviving 38 pre, post election cases, and his victory at the Supreme Court, which upheld his Governorship Election.


In a Congratulatory Message, signed and made available to the press by the President General of UPU  America and the Direcor of Publicity, Mrs. Helen Irede-Mulbah; Olorogun Prince Dr Abel Oyibo Dafiaghor, the Oyibo of Ughievwen Kingdom, the body says the victory is a victory for the Urhobo nation and Delta State at large.


It hailed the Apex Court for upholding the mandate Deltans gave to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori during the 2023 Governorship Election.


It urged all the litigants to accept the verdict of the Supreme Court with good faith. According to the group, His Excellency Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Oborevwori needs the support and contributions of the political opponents and all well-meaning  Deltans to achieve the much needed development of the state. UPU America commended Obarisi, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, CFR, for congratulating  His Excellency Rt. Hon Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, on his victory at the court, according to the body, it shows that Obarisi Senator Ovie Omoagege is a true Democrat and they urged the other opponents to emulate Obarisi.


They urged H. E. Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Oborevwori to focus on the governance of the state now that the court cases are over and extend its hands of fellowship to the opposition.


It urged Deltans to sustain their support for Governor Oborevwori to enable him to implement his MORE Agenda mantra, which he promised the State.
