OKOBARO, CHIEFS PAY CONDOLENCE VISIT TO OKITIAKPE FAMILY



His Majesty Odjaberen, Dr. Matthew Ediri Egbi JP, FoD, AMNSE, OWAHWA II, The Okobaro of Ughievwen (Jeremi) kingdom has described elderstatesman Late Chief Patrick Okitiakpe as an illustrious son of Ughievwen Kingdom who contributed immensely to the peace and progress of the kingdom in his life time.


His Majesty Odjaberen, Dr. Matthew Ediri Egbi JP, FoD, AMNSE, OWAHWA II, The Okobaro of Ughievwen (Jeremi) kingdom accompanied by chiefs of the kingdom were received at the Ekakpramre country home of Chief Patrick Okitiakpe for a condolence visit by members of the family.


Ohwahwa the second said the demise of Chief  Patrick Okitiakpe who was one of the foremost chiefs in Ughievwen Kingdom is a great loss not just to Ughievwen Kingdom but to Urhobo nation and Delta State at large.


The monarch noted that Chief Okitiakpe spent his life serving God and humanity explaining that he was a philanthropist who gave scholarship to many.


He recalled the role played by Chief Okitiakpe in protecting the boundaries of Ekakpamre Community as well as attracting development to the community.


Okobaro stated that, Chief Okitiakpe was a gentle and soft spoken politician and an industrialist, who employed many and mentored several others in politics.


He urged the family not to mourn his death, noting that he lived a fulfilled life and presently resting in heaven.


The revered monarch prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest and grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.


Responding, wife of the deceased, Mrs Patrick Okitiakpe and others  thanked the Okobaro and his chiefs for the visit noting that it has encouraged them.


They promised to carry the Palace along in the burial arrangements.


The Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom led chiefs to pray for the family of Late Chief Patrick Okitiakpe.
