ATINERE FAMILY OF OTOVWODO-ORIA HOLDS FAMILY REUNION; OVIE OF UMIAGHWA-ABRAKA KINGDOM CALLS FOR MORE UNITY

The season of Christmas is usually characterized with the spirit of re-union especially amongst families and members of communities.
The Atinere family of Otovwodo-Oria in Umiaghwa-Abraka kingdom had their annual reunion where all the family members came together.
This practice has been motivated with the reign of His Royal Majesty (AVM) Lucky Ochuko Ararile (rtd) Avwaeke 1 the Ovie of Umiaghwa-Abraka kingdom, and this has inspired members of the Atirene family both at home and in diaspora to come home to erect building in different parts in Umiaghwa-Abraka.
Among the activities lined up for this year's re-union included prayer sections, picnic and homage visit to His Royal Majesty AVM Lucky Ochuko Ararile rtd Avwaeke 1 the Ovie of Umiaghwa-Abraka kingdom.
Child Victory Okafor on seeing the King's picture motivated the family to pay homage to the king.
The spoke person to the family, a Port Harcourt based Engineer, Engr kesiena Atirene described the homage visit to the king led by Dele Daniel Atirene as very important to the Atirene family, adding that it is going to be something they wish to do anually to give them sense of belonging and for the younger ones to get acquainted with the custom and traditions of our people.
The highlight of the visit was the unveiling of the King's portrait presented by the Atirene family.
Other items includes the traditional kolanut presentation, drinks, support and assorted food items
In his response, His Royal Majesty who was so elated described the visit as a welcome development as such is what attracts development to a community by indigenes remembering to come home.
He prayed for the Atirene family and called on sons and daughters of Umiaghwa-Abraka kingdom to emulate Atirene family.
The respected monarch also gave gift items to the children and wished them happy and prosperous New year.
