Association of Integrative Medicine Practitioners Inaugurates Delta State Chapter,Commissions First Integrative Hospital in Delta State 


Integrative Medicine Practice has received a boost with the commissioning of the Rabboni Integrative Hospital and Maternity at Ogwashi-Uku,Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State.


Registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission Decree/Act 1990 the Association of Integrative Medicine Practitioners of Nigeria AIMPN also performed the Inauguration of the Delta State Chapter of the Association.



The Rabboni Integrative Hospital and Maternity is first of its kind in Delta State and its commissioning attracted dignitaries including the National President of the Association of Integrative Medicine Practitioners of Nigeria AIMPN Dr Johnson Elechi and other notable figures.


The ceremony provided the platform to inaugurate the Association of Integrative Medicine Practitioners of Nigeria AIMPN, Delta State Chapter headed by Dr Odika Chukar.



Addressing members of AIMPN the National President Dr Johnson Elechi reminded practitioners of the onerous task that lies ahead of them stating that their activities requires them to always carryout research to adapt to modern realities.


Dr Elechi while congratulating AIMPN, Delta State Chapter for falling into the category of states to be Inaugurated urged them to propagate the awareness of Integrative Medicine at their different domains and take the profession to greater heights.


Dr Elechi appealed to the federal government to create the Traditional and Complementary Medicine Board to regulate activities of Integrative Medicine Practitioners in the country.



AIMPN National Leader Professor Joseph Akpile who is also a member of the committee to review curriculum of the federal college of alternative medicine FEDCAM delivered a lecture on principles of effective Integrative health practitioner.


Professor Akpile in the lecture admonished practioners of Integrative Medicine to collaborate with their colleagues,upgrade themselves,develop the right attitude and desist from being a jack of all trades.


Others who spoke including Dr Bankabijor Adedamola and Delta State Chapter Chairman of the Association of Integrative Medicine Practitioners of Nigeria AIMPN Dr Odika Chukar all described integrative medicine as the balm of Gilead illustrated in the Holy Bible.


There were the investiture of some deserving individuals as fellows of the west Africa post graduate college of natural and integrative medicine as well as the presentations of awards of excellence on other members of the Association.




Highpoint of the event was the Inauguration of the Delta State Chapter of the Association of Integrative Medicine Practitioners of Nigeria and the commissioning of the Rabboni Integrative Hospital and Maternity.
