SENATOR EDE DAFINONE COMMITS TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN DELTA CENTRAL

The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone, has reaffirmed his commitment to influencing sustainable development in his constituency. 


This was stated during a courtesy visit from the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Delta Broadcasting Services (DBS) Warri Chapel at his Sapele residence on Thursday August 7th 2025.



The Delta Central Senator who carefully listened to the complains raised by NUJ DBS Warri Executive said that he came into office to make a difference by rendering qualitative and robust legislature to his constituents.


Senator Dafinone who took the union executive through his rich profile, added that he has occupied several positions at the international and local levels.



He noted that the vast experiences gathered in the several positions occupied have better positioned in him well to deliver in the task of sponsoring bills, moving motions and fast tracking Constituency projects in the red chamber that will impact his Constituency positively.


The Federal Lawmaker said that he has executed over 700 people oriented projects across the eight local government areas in his Senatorial district, with over 600 completed.


Senator Dafinone who emphasized the importance of being accessable with his constituents, also stressed that his office is always open to interface with his constituents to enable him understand their problems and find solutions.


The senator promised to visit the station to assess its needs and address the requests raised by the leadership of NUJ DBS Warri Chapel.



The NUJ DBS Warri Chapel, Chairman Comrade John Glover represented by the Union's Secretary, Comrade Oghenerouna Oyibo, requested Senator Dafinone's support in providing a suitable editing suite, solar street lights, and other necessities.



The Vice Chairman of NUJ Delta State Council, Comrade Felix Ekwu, and the Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Delta State Chapter, Comrade Sonia Unuobojo, praised Senator Dafinone for his impactful representation.


They assured him that his partnership with the station is for the betterment of the State Media Outfit as well as project his political image.


Senator Ede Dafinone a Nigerian chartered accountant, politician, and philanthropist, notable for his contributions in the field of finance, involvement in Nigerian politics, and charitable activities was elected into the red Chamber of the National Assembly.
