NUJ DBS WARRI CHAPEL TO ORGANIZE ANNUAL PEACE WALK ON SATURDAY SEPT. 20TH 2025 TO MARK INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Delta Broadcasting Services (DBS) Warri Chapel is set to host its Annual Peace Walk on Saturday September 20th 2025 to commemorate this year's international day of peace.
A statement by the Chairman NUJ DBS Warri Chapel Peace Walk Committee, Comrade Harry Awosu and Secretary Comrade John Obasedje indicated that the event which is in Partnership with Shedrack Agediga Foundation, Tantita Security Services Nig Ltd, Center for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), OMO Foundation and Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Delta State Chapter will hold on Saturday September 20th, 2025, at the DBS Warri Edjeba Premises along NPA Expressway Warri.
The statement adds that the Peace Walk which will see participants walking through major routes in Warri and its environs spreading the message of peaceful coexistence will commence at 7.00AM prompt with the first one hundred persons to come to get a free white customized T-shirt.
The statement further adds that this year's edition is supported by:
Cresan Foundation, Soso Pondi Welfare Foundation, UPU America Midland, Odessa Texas Chapter, USA, Delta State Board of Internal Revenue Services.
While the Special Guests of Honour are the Executive Director Social Services on the board of desopadec, Chief Favour Izoukumor, the Executive Assistance to the Delta State Governor on Political Matters, Dr. Maurice Ojo-Ede, who is also the Founder of Omo Foundation, the Chairman Delta State Bursory and Scholarship Board, Comrade Shedrack Agediga, and the National Coordinator of the Center For Peace and Environmental Justice CEPEJ, Comrade Sheriff Mulade.
The statement further adds that the NUJ DBS Warri Chapel Chairman Comrade John Glover is the host while the Chairman DBS Warri board, Elegbete Moses Odibo and General Manager of the station Pastor Malcolm Oteri are the Chief Hosts.
The theme for this year's edition is ACT NOW FOR A PEACEFUL WORLD.
