Celestial Cleric in Delta Calls for Christian Unity Beyond Denominational Lines
By Dr. Godwin Orhadahwe
A Christian cleric of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Worldwide, Most Superior Evangelist Dr. Peter Ifiebor, has called on Christians in Delta State and across Nigeria to embrace unity and collectively confront the works of Satan, rather than engaging in internal divisions and denominational conflicts.
Evangelist Dr. Ifiebor, who is the President of the CCC Interdenominational Prayer Warrior Ministry, made the call on Monday while speaking on a book titled *Echoes of the Holy Spirit,* authored by a member of the ministry, Dr. Godwin Orhadahwe. Evang. Ifiebor described the book as a genuine source of unity and love among believers in Christ, urging Christians to heed the spiritual “echoes” of the Holy Bible, which he referred to as the “Mirror of the Church.”
The Celestial cleric expressed concern over persistent divisions among Christians along denominational lines, despite the existence of ecumenical bodies such as the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and its affiliate blocs worldwide. He reminded ministers of the Gospel that “God will judge the world, beginning from the Church.”
Dr. Ifiebor charged Christians to put an end to divisive tendencies and instead, wage a sustained spiritual battle against the devil, emphasizing prayer as a potent weapon. According to him, this vision led to the establishment of the CCC Interdenominational Prayer Warrior Ministry in Ugbomro, Delta State, noting that “God is doing wonderful things through the group.”
The Uvwie-born cleric also debunked rumours suggesting that his ministry is opposed to the Celestial Church of Christ, describing such claims as malicious, false, and “from the pit of hell.” He urged the public to disregard what he termed fake news circulating in some quarters, warning that those spreading such rumours would face divine judgment.
Clarifying the mission of the ministry, Evang. Dr. Ifiebor stated: “The CCC Interdenominational Prayer Warrior Ministry is helping to win souls and groom non-Christians for the Celestial Church of Christ. Such converts are free to worship in any CCC parish of their choice, as the prayer warrior ministry itself is not a parish.”
He further encouraged Nigerians and people of other nationalities facing life’s challenges to bring their prayer requests to the ministry, assuring them of prophetic intercession in the name of Jesus Christ.
