DELTA CENTRAL POLYTECHNIC RANKS BEST PRIVATE INSTITUTION IN DELTA STATE 


Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has reaffirmed his administration commitment to prioritizing access to quality education for all Deltans through a deliberate partnership with the private education sector.


Governor Oborevwori through the Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Nyerowho  Tonukari stated this during a familiarization tour to an evolving private higher institution known as Delta central Polytechnic for the commissioning of state of the art facilities as  he described the school as an emerging force that would turnaround the educational landscape of Delta central especially the Ughelli metropolis.


The Commissioner was conducted round the school to see some of the facilities such as the computer laboratory, Health information management laboratory amongst others by the Rector of the Institution Mr Anthony Okagbare an engineer.



Prof Nyerowho Tonukari said the Institution had continued to show capacity in terms of infrastructure,  student population growth as well as the quality of the institution's teaching and non teaching staff.


The commissioner while reinstating the commitment of the state government to make education a necessity for all Deltans as captured in the Governor Oborevwori MORE Agenda ranked the institution currently as the best privately owned Polytechnic in the state currently assuring to support and provide an enabling environment for the institution to grow and expand.


He urged the host communities to continue to support the school as the institution would help bring education to the people and compliment the education drive of the state government.


In his welcome address the Rector of the Delta central Polytechnic, Mr Anthony Okagbare an Engineer appreciated the commissioner for the visit noting that the institution has continued to stay true to its commitment to providing the needed skilled manpower training to its students as part of efforts to build resilient youths for the future.


Mr Okagbare revealed that through various partnership and memorandum of understanding, with various research and entrepreneurial institutions within and outside the country its students are better positioned to compete with their counterparts in different industrial and social platforms.


The Rector called for support from the ministry especially on area of entrepreneurial development and infrastructures.

on the part of the registra of the Polytechnic Mr Davis Jodome said the school will provide education for those who lost the opportunity reiterating that school is not a scam a believe erroneously held by some youths.


Highpoint of the familiarization tour was the official commissioning of the Health information management laboratory and that of the computer laboratory of the institution.


The Delta Central Polytechnic campus one is located at Ekiugbo, Ughelli in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
