GOVERNOR SHERIFF OBOREOVWORI EXTOL VIRTUES OF LATE ELDER PHILLIPS ODUGBA EVOVO.
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has described the late Elder Phillip Odugba Evovo as a man who lived a fulfilled and exemplary life worthy of emulation, urging his children and family to sustain peace and unity.
Governor Oborevwori made the remark at Olomoro community in Isoko South Local Government Area during the funeral ceremony of Elder Phillip Odugba Evovo, where he commiserated with the bereaved family and prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul.
The remains of Elder Phillip Odugba Evovo was moved from Safe heaven Moutaury, Warri, with a brief stop at his Residence in Ughelli and immediately proceeded to his home town,Olomoro Community in Isoko south Council Area of Delta state.
Delta State Governor Rt Hon.Sheriff Oboreovwori who was represented at the event by the Honourable Commissioner of Oil and gas,Chief Oviegitobor Okagbare emphasize the need for Man to live in peace with neibours and it immediately Community.
Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori called on the children of the late Elder Phillip Odugba Evovo, as well as members of the extended family, to continue to live in peace and harmony.
This appeal was made at an open-air funeral service held at Owholomu Primary School, Olomoro Community, in Isoko South Local Government Area, and conducted by Christ Apostolic Church, Ebenezer Zone, Ekuigbo, Ughelli.
The officiating minister, Pastor Paul Onoroha of Christ Apostolic Church, Ekuigbo, Ughelli, who delivered a sermon titled “The Call,” admonished Christians to always be prepared whenever the call comes from God Almighty.
He urged believers to cultivate good character worthy of emulation, describing the late Elder Phillip Odugba Evovo as a man of admirable character who demonstrated empathy and compassion for the less privileged in society.
Pastor Onoroha further stated that regardless of how long a person lives on earth, every individual must one day answer the ultimate call, advising Christians to live in constant readiness, as no one can escape that call.
Pastor Paul Onoroha described Elder Phillip Odugba Evovo as a Man who always catered for the welfare of the Widows and has contributed emessely to the growth of the Church
Speaking at the event, Children of the deceased ,Mr &. Mrs Ingrid Evovo, Engr.Okemuite Evovo, Mrs Christabel Odeku and Elohor Evovo who spoke all described their Father as a Man of peace,clam, loving and would miss dearly.
Speaking at the event, the children of the deceased Mr. and Mrs. Ingrid Evovo, Engr. Okemuite Evovo, Mrs. Christabel Odeku, and Elohor Evovo—each paid glowing tributes to their late father, describing him as a man of peace, calm disposition, and deep love, whose absence, they said, would be dearly felt.
The remains of Elder Phillip Odugba Evovo was later committed to Mother Earth at his resident in Olomoro Community in Isoko south Council Area of the State.
Elder Phillip Odugba Evovo died at the age of Eighty Three years(83) and survived by two wives , Eleven Children and numerous Grandchildren.
