FRONTLINE NDC WARRI FED. CONSTITUENCY HOUSE OF REP. CANDIDATE COMRADE SHERIFF MULADE DENOUNCES FAKE STEP-DOWN REPORT, SAYS VICTORY REMAINS VALID

Frontline Candidate for the Warri Federal Constituency seat in the forthcoming general elections under the Nigeria Democratic Congress NDC Comrade (Chief) Sheriff Mulade has strongly condemned reports making the rounds on social media that he has stepped down from the race to represent the good people of Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives come 2027.

A statement from the Chief Sheriff Mulade Campaign Organization signed by the Director, Media and Publicity, Comrade Friday Ugedi says that Comrade Mulade is still very in the race and did not concede defeat nor endorse another aspirant following the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) primary election for the Warri Federal Constituency.

The statement added that the Chief Sheriff Mulade Campaign Organization wished to firmly state that the publication is entirely false, misleading and the product of individuals acting in bad faith.

The statement described the fabricated statement as a desperate attempt by political opponents to undermine the overwhelming mandate freely given to Chief Sheriff Mulade by delegates during the primary election.

The Chief Sheriff Mulade Campaign Organization referred to the authors of the malicious publication as political merchants of falsehood whose only objective is to create confusion, mislead party faithful and manipulate public perception after suffering a humiliating rejection by delegates across the Warri Federal Constituency.

The Chief Sheriff Mulade Campaign Organization for the avoidance of doubt, affirmed that Chief Sheriff Mulade remains firmly in the race and is the duly elected winner of the NDC primary election for the Warri Federal Constituency.

.

"At no time did he issue any statement conceding defeat, stepping down, withdrawing from the contest or endorsing any other aspirant. Those behind this reckless misinformation campaign are obviously threatened by the unprecedented support enjoyed by Chief Sheriff Mulade among party members, delegates, youths, women and stakeholders across Warri North, Warri South and Warri South-West Local Government Areas. It is unfortunate that instead of accepting the reality of the outcome of the primary election, certain disgruntled elements have resorted to forgery, propaganda and the dissemination of fake statements in a futile attempt to overturn the will of the people" the statement added.

The Chief Sheriff Mulade Campaign Organization therefore urged members of the public, party faithful and the media to disregard the fabricated statement in its entirety, adding that the publication did not emanate from Chief Sheriff Mulade and does not represent his position or that of his campaign structure.

The Chief Sheriff Mulade Campaign Organization reaffirmed that Chief Sheriff Mulade remains committed to the ideals of democracy, transparency and justice, and is confident that the authentic results of the primary election will stand the test of scrutiny, stressing that no amount of blackmail, misinformation, forgery or political desperation can overturn the mandate freely given to Chief Sheriff Mulade by NDC party delegates of the Warri Federal Constituency.
