OGOR KINGDOM DECLARES SUPPORT FOR TINUBU, OBOREVWORI, ALL APC CANDIDATES IN UGHELLI NORTH LGA

Indigenes of Ogor Kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State have reaffirmed their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The declaration was made during a grand mobilization and sensitization gathering organised at Oviri-Ogor by the Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Community Mobilization, Chief Monday Otobrise, to appreciate Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and party leaders for his recent appointment.
The Oviri-Ogor Community Town Hall was filled to capacity as political leaders, party faithful and residents of Ogor Kingdom converged for a grand mobilization and sensitization programme organised by the Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Community Mobilization, Chief Monday Otobrise.
The event also witnessed the reception of APC National Leader and Executive Director of NEXIM Bank, Hon. Stella Okotete, as well as the Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Olorogun Jaro Egbo.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Monday Otobrise said the event was not a political campaign but a thanksgiving and appreciation programme organised to express gratitude to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for finding him worthy of appointment as Executive Assistant on Community Mobilization.
He also acknowledged the support of Hon. Stella Okotete, Ughelli North Council Chairman Olorogun Jaro Egbo and the immediate past APC Delta State Chairman, Chief Omeni Sobotie, for their roles in facilitating his appointment.
Chief Otobrise said the large turnout of party faithful and supporters demonstrated the readiness of the people of Ogor Kingdom to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and all APC candidates.
While commending Governor Oborevwori for ongoing developmental projects across the state, he appealed for the rehabilitation of the Ogor Road, improved staffing and equipment for the Ogor Health Centre and the execution of additional infrastructure projects in the kingdom.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Director of NEXIM Bank and former APC National Women Leader, Hon. Stella Okotete, assured the people that their requests, particularly the rehabilitation of the Ogor Road and improvement of healthcare facilities, would receive the necessary attention. She also announced a number of empowerment initiatives, including support for 300 women, enrollment of 50 elderly persons into the Delta State Contributory Health Scheme, the award of two Presidential Amnesty Programme scholarship slots to Ogor students in tertiary institutions and vocational training opportunities for youths at Joemarine Institute.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, disclosed that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has concluded plans to empower 200 persons in each ward across Delta State. He urged the people of Ogor Kingdom to continue supporting the administrations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in order to attract more government projects and development to the area.
In separate remarks, political leaders and stakeholders, including Hon. Rukevwe Okotie, President-General of Otor-Ogor Community, Hon. U.K. Emmanuel, the member representing Ughelli North Constituency I in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Matthew Onojighofia Omonade, and the APC Chairman in Ughelli North Local Government Area, Hon. Lucky Ofomukoro, reaffirmed that Ogor Kingdom remains firmly behind the APC and pledged to work for the party's success in future elections.
The gathering ended with a renewed commitment by party leaders and supporters to strengthen grassroots mobilization, sustain unity within the APC and work collectively towards attracting greater socio-economic and infrastructural development to Ogor Kingdom through continued engagement with the Tinubu and Oborevwori administrations.
