KOKODIAGBENE COMMUNITY ROLLS OUT RED CARPET FOR NDC REPS CANDIDATE PEDRO BEKENAWEI
The people of Kokodiagbene Community in ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, are set to accord a grand homecoming reception to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) House of Representatives candidate for Warri Federal Constituency in the 2027 General Elections, Chief (Dr.) Pedro Tuwayerin Bekenawei.
The event, scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, is expected to attract party faithful, community leaders, youths, women and supporters from across the constituency in celebration of one of their own.
The homecoming celebration will take place at Kokodiagbene Community, where residents are preparing to give Chief (Dr.) Pedro Tuwayerin Bekenawei, who is a son of the soil, a colourful and memorable welcome.
Organisers say the reception is aimed at celebrating Dr. Bekenawei's emergence as the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) flag bearer for the House of Representatives seat representing Warri Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
The event is also expected to serve as an avenue for community members, traditional leaders, political stakeholders and supporters to reaffirm their commitment to unity, peace and grassroots development.
Activities lined up for the occasion include the formal reception of the House of Representatives candidate, goodwill messages from community leaders and party stakeholders, as well as cultural displays showcasing the rich heritage of Gbaramatu Kingdom.
The celebration is billed to commence by 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Kokodiagbene Community in Warri South-West Local Government Area, with organisers extending an open invitation to members of the public to attend and be part of the historic event.
The organisers say the homecoming is anchored on the ideals of Unity, Development and Progress, while expressing optimism that the event will further strengthen community solidarity and support for the constituency.
