WARRI FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY CHIEF SHERIFF MULADE PRESENTS DEVELOPMENT COMPACT TO PERE AMA-OKOSU



National Democratic Party, NDP, candidate for the House of Representatives in the Warri Federal Constituency, Chief Comrade Sheriff Mulade, PhD has described himself as an independent candidate sponsored by the people, saying his aspiration is driven by the desire to represent their interests.


Chief Mulade stated this during his campaign visit to Ogbe-Ijoh, headquarters of Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, where he visited His Royal Majesty, Monbene III, the Pere Ama-Okosu of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.


During the visit, the NDP candidate presented his development agenda, titled The Mulade Sheriff Development Compact, to the traditional ruler. 


The document outlines his proposed priorities and areas of focus if elected to represent the Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.


The NDP Warri Federal Constituency Candidate, while speaking on his political aspiration, said his campaign was built around the support of the people rather than sponsorship by individuals or political interests. 


He maintained that his popularity and grassroots acceptance had continued to strengthen his bid to represent the constituency.


He said, “Among all the candidates running, no one has the capacity, has the ability, has the courage to mobilize the people. 


"I am not a political candidate that people sponsor. I am an independent candidate sponsored by the people to occupy that office for the interests of the people.”


The NDP candidate also emphasised the need for effective representation, stressing that the interests and development needs of the people should remain central to the responsibilities of anyone seeking elective office.


In response to the presentation, His Royal Majesty, Monbene III, received the development compact and offered prayers for blessings upon Mulade and his entourage.


The campaign visit was attended by party faithful, support groups, chiefs and other members of the candidate’s entourage, who joined him in the engagement with the traditional institution.


The visit formed part of Mulade’s ongoing campaign activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, as he continues to engage traditional institutions, stakeholders and residents across the Warri Federal Constituency.
