*EFEMENA OZOMORO EMERGES WINNER OF 7TH NADIGIGS CHILD INITIATIVE SPELLING BEE COMPETITION*

Efemena Ozomoro from Jesse International Schools Warri on Saturday emerged the overall best in this year's Nadigigs Child Initiative spelling bee competition held at Federal Government College Warri.

The President of the body Dr Comfort Enuneku who spoke shortly after the competition said that the competition is only an avenue where children from different background in the society come together to showcase their spelling ability.

The contesting pupils drawn from both public and private schools at this year's 7th Annual Spelling Bee of Nadigigs Child Initiative took the stage to spell different words in front of the judges and the audience.

After series of rounds of spellings, Efemena Ozomoro from Jesse International Schools Warri came out the winner of the competition.

The President and founder of the spelling bee, Dr Comfort Enuneku in an interview with newsmen, said that the competition was to help build confidence and enhance the children spelling ability.

Dr Enuneku said that the body is not only about organizing spelling bee competition but also has a commitment to give children platform to develop themselves.

She lauded all that have in one way or the other supported the body from the first edition till date and as well implored parents and guardians to pay attention to the educational growth of their children and wards.

The teachers who spoke in their separate interviews commended the organizer for the competition.

They emphasized that competition such as this will only go a long way to make children in Warri and its environs to be rich in their vocabulary.

Some of the participating pupils shared their experiences with newsmen on the stage, saying that though some of the words were difficult but they were able to task their brains to spell the words.

The spelling bee competition was climaxed with cash award, learning materials to the three best pupils as well as consolatory prizes to all the participants.
