POLICE,  AGBARHO KINGDOM PARTNERS TO FIGHT CULTISM, CRIME

The Divisional Police Officer, DPO, of Agbarho Police Division, CSP Samuel Ogwa has given all those involve in the recent cult clash in Agbarho Community to report to Police that claimed six lives, within seven days to surrender themselves to the Police or risked being declared wanted.


CSP Ogwa who stated this at a Security Town Hall meeting at Agbarho Town Hall with stakeholders in Agbarho Kingdom.


The DPO assured residents of the kingdom of adequate security of lives and property in the kingdom.


He said the Police will deal decisively with anyone caught commiting crime in the kingdom irrespective of their status or background.


CSP Ogwa noted that the Police has expanded it's dragnet to arrest fleeing cult members involve in the recent clash in Agbarho Community that led to the death of six persons.


He urged all those involve in the clash still at large to report to the nearest Police station or risk being declared wanted.


CSP Ogwa advised residents to be vigilant and report anyone with questionable character to the Police.



The President General of Agbarho Urhobo Improvement Union, AUIU, Chief Monday Igho-Odiphri commended the Police for their swift response that helped curtailed the recent cult clash in the community.


He noted that the kingdom has unanimously agreed to hand over anyone found with unlicensed arm to the Police.


Chief Igho-Odiphri restated the commitment of Agbarho kingdom to partnering with the Police in curbing crime in the kingdom.


Public Relations Officer of AUIU, Chief Blessing Ovwata and Presidents of the various Communities in Agbarho kingdom promised to work with law enforcement agents to stem the wave of crime in the kingdom.


They urged all those perpetuating crime in Agbarho to repent or relocate from the community.
