SECURITY BREACH IN AGBARHO, AS DEPOSED KING INVADES COMMUNITY WITH THUGS

Agbarho Kingdom in Ughelli North LGA is in turmoil, as the deposed King of the Kingdom, Chief Samson Owhe Ogugu allegedly returns to the Kingdom with armed thugs in a commando style.


According to eyewitnesses, armed thugs allegedly escorted the deposed King, Chief Samson Owhe Ogugu to invade the Palace of the  recognized Osuvie of Agbarho Kingdom, HRM Ajuwe William O. Onokpite in gestapo style.


The armed thugs allegedly forced the family of the HRM William Onokpite who managed to escape by the whisker out of the palace with threats to kill him if he returns to Agbarho.


Some Indigenes of Agbarho Kingdom who were not happy with the development took to the streets with placards to protest against the invasion of their palace and over throw of their King, HRM William Onokpite.


The protesters said HRM William Onokpite remains the recognized King of Agbarho Kingdom noting that since his reign, Agbarho has been peaceful.


They noted that any attempt by anyone or group of persons to impose the deposed King on them will be resisted.

There was however a twist of event, as the protesters were allegedly chased away by the thugs aided by security agents.


In an interview, the President General of Agbarho Urhobo Improvement Union, Chief Igho Odiphri said Chief Samson Owhe Ogugu was  duly removed as King and replaced With HRM Ajuwe William Onokpite and since his reign the kingdom has been peaceful.


He condemned the unlawful invasion of the Palace by Chief Samson Owhe Ogugu and his men, noting that since the matter is before a competent court  all parties ought to maintain status quo pending the decision of the court.


Chief Odiphri called on the state government to restore HRM Ajuwe William Onokpite to the throne, noting that, the Agbarho people will resist any attempt to impose Chief Samson Owhe Ogugu on them.


He added that, imposing Chief Samson Owhe Ogugu on Agbarho people may lead to a state of anarchy.
